Which bin goes out tonight, in English. Type your street once; a reminder arrives at 18:00 the evening before every collection.
| Bin | What it takes | How often |
|---|---|---|
| Restmüll | General waste | Fortnightly |
| Biomüll | Food and garden | Weekly |
| Papiertonne | Paper and card | Monthly |
| Gelber Sack | Packaging — sack or yellow bin | Fortnightly |
| Gartenabfall | Garden waste | A few autumn dates |
| Glas | Drop-off container only | No kerbside collection |
Erlangen keys its schedule to street segments, not whole streets — Hauptstraße alone splits into eight. Picking the range that covers your number is what makes the dates right.
There isn't one. Glass has no kerbside pickup anywhere in Erlangen; you take it to a container. The app shows Glas greyed out so the question is answered before you have to ask it.
Public holidays move collections, and the city publishes the printed date with a note rather than the shifted one. When a round is emptied early, the app warns you and sends the reminder a day sooner — putting the bin out on the printed evening would be too late.
Check the segment shown at the top of the screen is the one covering your house number; you can change it in Settings. If it still looks wrong, email us with your street and what you expected — and please check the city's own calendar too.
Yes. Every collection date ships inside the app, and reminders are scheduled by your iPhone. It works in aeroplane mode.
The app carries the city's published calendar, which runs to the end of the year. When the next year is published, Resync downloads it so reminders keep working without an App Store update.
